2018.10.4 ~ 10.6:The 46th Annual Meeting of the Radiation Technology Society of Autumn (JSRT)

Reported on oral presentation by oral presentation by Tanaka and Nemoto of the master’s course to the 46th Annual Meeting of the Radiation Technology Society of Japan at the Sendai International Center on October 4-6, 2018.

■Date and Time: October 4 – October 6, 2018
■Location: Sendai International Center
■Society:The 46th Annual Meeting of the Radiation Technology Society of Autumn

The theme of the conference was “Reconstruction and Radiologic Technology Seven Years After the Disaster”, and I found the conference very informative, as there were some topics that I myself was interested in, such as Radiomics and Deep learning.

I made a presentation at JSRT titled “Development of a New Method to Refine Robust Radiomic Features in CT-based Radiomics in the Thoracic Region”. Since Radiomics is an emerging technology, there are still few reports on it, so we will continue our research on Radiomics in our laboratory and hope to present it at various conferences in the future.

This conference was the first oral presentation by my fellow first-year master’s students. Through discussions with other researchers at each presentation and Q&A session, I realized that I need to train myself to make my research more understandable to other researchers.

Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the professors who guided me in my presentation and gave me this opportunity to give such a presentation.
