Takeru Nakajima (M1)

This conference is held under the auspices of the Japan Radiology Society (JRC2024), and the theme of this year’s conference was “Leading an Era of Transformation. The conference director seems to have chosen this theme to express his determination to lead the field of radiology through further advanced research and development in an era where innovative technologies such as deep learning and quantum computing are creating new ways of thinking that are overturning conventional wisdom one after another.

Six members from our laboratory presented at the conference, and I gave a presentation on the accuracy evaluation of AI automated treatment planning software. It was my first conference and I was very nervous, but I was able to successfully complete my presentation and it was a very good experience for me.

From now on, I would like to make use of what I learned at the conference, work hard on my research, and improve my presentation so that I can give a better presentation at the conference.

I also participated in a social gathering with graduate students from Fujita Medical College, Komazawa University, and Tokyo Metropolitan University, as well as a discussion by the “Young Researchers’ Association of Medical Physics” a special JSMP program, and a reception afterward.

I had a very meaningful time listening to the experiences and stories of various people, including other graduate students, people already working in the clinical field, and people working in companies.

At the award ceremony, Masaki Kondo and Senri Hayashi, second-year master’s students, and Takeru Nakajima, first-year master’s student, received the Student Encouragement Award.

Finally, as this was my first conference, I have learned and experienced a great deal. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who gave me this valuable opportunity. Thank you very much.
